It's Been That Kind of Week.

So of course I've spent the last few weeks ramping up to the whole prom thing -- which, incidentally, could be a fun ritual if it didn't carry with it all the insane baggage it does seem to carry -- and trying to explain to my younger sister Emilie why it is that Americans do this sort of thing.

Then not only does the Dean go and cancel prom, which sort of negates the ability to have any kind of discussion about it, but of course there is the whole Boobgate flareup on Pandagon again, and the MRAs all come out of the woodwork anytime Amanda says anything.

And don't even get me started on the "I'm pro-choice but... " threads. If you've seen one "but the sluts deserved it!" thread, you've seen 'em all, and unfortunately, they just never really stop.

I promise I'll come out and be more social, and by this I do not mean 'I will do my philosophy homework outside.' I will be social. I promise!

(I have finished my History homework, anyway.)
